A woman struggles between life and death in the hospital after she threw herself on the tracks of the Milan red line subway and was run over by a train. Rescue was immediately taken: doctors were forced to amputate her leg. Another woman was injured due to the sudden braking of the driver who tried to avoid the accident.
Tragedy touched on yesterday evening 11 September on Red line of the Milan subway. Here a 30-year-old woman threw herself on the tracks just before the arrival of the train at the stop of via Palestro. The accident occurred shortly before 19.30: unfortunately the train was unable to brake in time and has swept up the woman.

Now the 30-year-old, whose personal details are not known, struggles between life and death. Immediately the other passengers triggered the rescue: once there, the health workers immediately tried to save the woman’s life before being transported to the hospital in desperation. In via Palestro two ambulances and an automedic arrived, as well as you have fire fighters who helped the paramedics take the woman off tracks. According to doctors, the 30-year-old is in very serious condition: she reported a severe trauma to the pelvis and to save her it was necessary to amputate her gamba. The prognosis still remains confidential. Now the police are working to try to reconstruct what happened: the facts suggest that it was a voluntary gesture.
Trauma to the wrist for a passenger
In addition to 30 years old, one passing aged 52 ended up in hospital in yellow code due to trauma to the wrist: the 52-year-old in fact fell after the sharp braking of the driver who tried to brake before overwhelming the 30-year-old. In fact, many passengers fell and some of them remained slightly injured. Everyone was dropped off and metro transport was suspended between the Cairoli and Loreto stop. In place of the train, the Milanese transport service has made a bus available.
