Municipality of Milan: Thursday open day for courses of training centers
From 10 to 17.30 it will be possible to dialogue and discuss with teachers
Milan, 6 Sept. (askanews) – “Focus on your future”: this is the title chosen for the open day of the training centers of the Municipality of Milan scheduled for Thursday 9 September (from 10 to 17.30) in the spaces of the Milan Luiss Hub in via Massimo D’Azeglio 3. This was announced in a note by the Administration itself, explaining that it is a day to discover the educational offer for the school year 2021/2022, with many courses organized by the Municipality and aimed at all levels preparation: from graphics to green design, passing through catering and the creativity of restoration, lutherie, fashion and tailoring courses up to the study of foreign languages useful for traveling and growing at work. You will have the opportunity to dialogue and discuss with the teachers of the various centers in order to learn about the training and educational programs as well as collecting information material on costs, times and opportunities.
In the period between September 2016 and June 2021, the municipal training centers registered over 45 thousand users, mostly women (63%), while 75% of those registered are nationals. Over 3,000 training modules delivered. The last two years have shown that there has been a sharp increase in younger users, those under 30, which went from 5% in 2016 to over 25% in 2021. A slight decrease in users in the 30-40 age group ; the frequency of people 41-50 was stable, with a slight increase also in the 51-60 and over 60 groups.
The Administration explained that if one excludes the language courses which are among the most requested, over the years the professionalization paths aimed at the work of people with disabilities or in conditions of fragility and disadvantage (catering, furniture restoration, photography , electricity, tailoring) which totaled 32% of total members, 54% men and 46% women. This is followed by the Visual Arts and Communication area which for the 2020-2021 training year has innovated and expanded its catalog, marking a + 29% of those enrolled in Visual design, Window dressing, Garden design courses. The IT and tertiary sector recorded 14% of registered users (59% women and 41% men). The artistic handicraft area, which includes the courses in the construction of stringed and plucked instruments of the Civica Scuola di Liuteria and those of fashion and tailoring (packaging techniques, fashion lab), saw 13% of the total users enrolled in the courses . The Commerce area closes with only 12% of the total users, of which 38% men and 62% women. The ten training centers of the Municipality of Milan are located throughout the city, particularly in the peripheral or semi-central areas.
Access to the spaces of the Milan Luiss Hub for Thursday 9 September will be possible “only with a compulsory reservation at the link and with a green pass”.
