In recent months, important works from two parishes of our Diocese have been exhibited in the exhibitions organized by two great Italian museums: Palazzo Reale in Milan and Palazzo Madama in Turin.

The parish church of Silvano Pietra lent the altarpiece of Lucrezia Quistelli, which was exhibited in Royal Palace of Milan in the exhibition Lord of Art: stories of women between the 16th and 17th centuries.

The parish of the Saints Ruffino and Venanzio di Sarezzano, on the other hand, has instead loaned two unpublished reliquary busts for the exhibition Portraits of gold and silver. Medieval reliquaries in Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Switzerland and Savoy set up in the spaces of Palazzo Madama in Turin.

Before their return to their parishes, in agreement with the parish priests, the Diocesan Cultural Heritage Office promotes the temporary exhibition “Returns from major exhibitions. From Silvano Pietra to Milan, from Sarezzano to Turin“.
