Compulsory green pass: from October extended to state and (perhaps) buses, trams and metro

Rome, 4 September 2021 – Sul Compulsory ‘extended’ green pass of which the premier spoke Mario Draghi last Thursday, a decree which, according to government rumors, should come into effect as early as October. The idea is to make the green certificate mandatory for i state employees, for all those categories that work in places where it is already required and – perhaps – also in local public transport, for both drivers and passengers.
The last node on the extension of the green certificate now concerns access to Tpl (local public transport) and the control of the pass on the vehicles. All in anticipation ofmeeting between trade unions and companies set for Monday 6 September, when CGIL, CISL and UIL they will see Confindustria and Confapi to discuss the pass in the workplace.

Vaccine and third dose, “immunity drops after 6-7 months”

Green pass, Di Maio: “Salvini choose between Meloni and the good of the country”

The goal: 80% vaccinated

With Italy without color changes for at least a week (in yellow there is only Sicily, the rest of the Peninsula is in white band) the Government’s objective remains to be achieved by the end of September 80% of the immunized vaccine audience. An important fact that now seems to be within reach but which may not mean theherd immunity, for which the completion of the vaccination cycle is still missing for at least another 7 million people.
An effective measure to raise the bar, targeting 85% of vaccinated with two doses among those over 12 in October, could be precisely the enlargement of the green certificate. Beyond the political confrontation already underway on the subject, however, a series of questions remain to be resolved.

Mandatory vaccine in the fall: how it will work. Fines of up to one thousand euros

Green pass su bus, tram e metro

If it is already mandatory to show the pass to get on long-distance trains, planes or buses, the new government maneuver could incorporate buses, trams and subways. On a practical level, the measure could be facilitated by the fact that the controllers, blocked by the pandemic in order to avoid direct contact, are gradually returning to the means of local transport, to check spacing and – at least for now – use of masks.
However, the issue of anti-Covid investigations will still have to be clarified in all its aspects: national negotiations are already underway between the government and trade unions on the verification of the protection devices by the Tpl inspectors, who are currently against it.

Covid vaccine obligation, Palù (Aifa): “Useful even if it arrives after Christmas”

The control room

Meanwhile, the road map launched since August 6 – when the obligation to access restaurants, bars and cinemas was decided – continues and it is almost certain that the issues on the expansion of the pass to other sectors will be discussed in a control room on Thursday next.

Hope and the vaccine requirement

The Minister of Health Roberto Speranza announced that in the “next few days” there will be “decisions” for “an extension of the certificate to other areas of people’s lives”. The representative of the government had also added that the possibility is not precluded, in case “there should be a need” to “be able to use the vaccination obligation, which already exists for healthcare personnel and which the Constitution allows with legislative initiative and which we believe is an instrument available to Parliament and the government should this be necessary “. the step to that on the obligation of the Green pass.
