He had spent the night in a tent near the Laghi Gemelli refuge with a group of friends and this morning, early, she had gone out to see the sunrise. In the morning they were waiting for her to come back but when they saw that it was late they raised the alarm. The plant immediately sent the Areu helicopter rescue from Como for an overflight that did not give a positive result.
A helicopter from the Guardia di Finanza was also on site, which in the meantime made sophisticated search systems available to locate the girl’s phone, in order to narrow down the search area, which was very vast. The dog lovers of the fire brigade also intervened. In the meantime, the teams of the CNSAS, VI Orobica Delegation, reached altitude thanks to the helicopter made available by the Lombardy Region. The rescuers (Cnsas and Sagf) have patrolled the paths of the area (the drones of Areu – Cnsas Lombardia were also used), until a team found the girl’s body, at the base of a rock jump. The Sondrio helicopter rescue arrived with the health team and the doctor could not help but record the death. The body was recovered around 5 pm and taken to the Branzi cemetery.
