Weather forecast Rome and Lazio, extreme heat wave: 38 degrees expected

Orange warm alert for the weekend. It will be a very hot weekend, perhaps the hottest of the whole summer (at least so far): in Rome, 38 degrees are expected on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August. Red stamp and temperatures of 39 degrees in Frosinone. Orange stamp in Rieti and Viterbo.

It will be a very hot weekend, perhaps the hottest of the whole summer (at least so far): in Rome, 38 degrees are expected on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August. It won’t be a red dot weekend, according to the Ministry of Health’s heat wave bulletin, but an orange one. Already at 8 on Saturday 25 degrees will be touched and at 14, the hottest hour of the day, the thermometer will show 35 degrees. Same goes for Sunday. What is worrying, however, is the maximum perceived temperature: 37 degrees on Sunday and even 38 degrees on Saturday.

The hot alert, as mentioned, will be level 2, orange: this type of alert occurs with “high temperatures and weather conditions that can have negative effects on the health of the population, particularly in susceptible population subgroups”.

As for the other provincial capitals of Lazio, a yellow stamp is expected in Latina, an orange stamp in Rieti and Viterbo and even a red stamp in Frosinone. In fact, in Ciociaria, 37 degrees are expected on both Saturday and Sunday, but the perceived temperature will even be 39 degrees.

The weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday

Saturday 31 July will be a sunny day in the capital, but Sunday, despite the great heat, some clouds will veil the sky of Rome. Clear or partly cloudy skies are expected on Monday and Tuesday, while Wednesday should be characterized by increasing cloudiness, according to experts’ forecasts. For the moment, no precipitation is expected on Lazio for the next seven days.
