From 24 July to 2 August, ten days of shows and concerts. The 2021 edition of the Riva Music Festival opens with the winners of Zandonai international competition.
A single date for two giants of music, on July 26 in Riva del Garda Nicola Piovani and the percussionists of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Two high-level shows that will be based in the courtyard and park of the Rocca, as part of the 37th edition of Music Riva Festival. All concerts are free.

Given the impossibility of Maestro Piovani, for personal reasons, to be present in Riva del Garda on the date established for the inauguration of the exhibition, the festival will start a day later than announced.
The festival will therefore open on July 24th with the prize-giving concert of the winners of the international competition for young opera singers Riccardo Zandonai. Piovani and the soloists of the Teatro alla Scala will perform on July 26th. Piovani will stage the show «Music is dangerous», i percussionists of the Teatro alla Scala they will offer an electrifying performance.
And so never as this year can we say that neither bad weather (which hit the Trentino shore of the lake on July 13th) nor restrictions and unforeseen events have been able to stop the imposing organizational machinery of the festival directed by Mietta Sighele. A double date then, Piovani and the soloists of La Scala, in a single evening, as part of an exhibition that, for ten days, will bring music and musicians to Riva del Garda.
In fact, the 27th edition of the International competition for young opera singers Riccardo Zandonai, at the Bonporti Conservatory and in the classrooms of Riva 1 middle schools. Begun on July 17 with 150 young singers competing from 26 countries, the competition will end on July 24. And this is the date that the Musica Riva Festival officially opens, with the winners of the Zandonai competition. A great and prestigious occasion for these young singers.
In addition to the soloists of La Scala and Piovani, the festival will also see the Blacks by chance, concerts at dawn, concerts in the archaeological site of San Martino, concerts of opera music, triumphs of string instruments, the sweetness of swing and Mediterranean suggestions.
