Vialli returned to Italy after the European Championship: “It’s the time of gratitude” he writes under the photo at the Sanctuary of Hope

“It is the time of gratitude.” Fresh from the European triumphal with the Italian national team, a smiling Gianluca Vialli shows himself on Instagram in front of the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine della Speranza, in Grumello, in the province of Cremona, his hometown. Headphones, Italy polo shirts and above all the affectionate comments of the many fans who attacked his page from the European Championship complete the circle of one of the behind-the-scenes architects of the blue triumph.

The head of the blue delegation and “little brother” of the coach, as defined by Mancini himself in the post of wishes for his birthday during Euro 2020, reappeared with a post on Instagram – six days after the last time – at the end of his Sunday visit to the sanctuary. Vialli had remained in London, where he lives, after the final won on penalties, thus skipping the Roman celebrations, with a visit to the Quirinale and Palazzo Chigi and then the parade on the open bus.
