Vaccines, from 22 July mobile vaccination units in Milan
Through a note, the welfare directorate general of the Lombardy Region communicates the dates of the mobile campaign in Milan for the extraordinary vaccination of citizens over 60. “So as to increase – we read – the vaccination coverage of the Milanese, stopped at 81.4 per cent against 86.4 of the regional average”. “The goal – continues the note – is to facilitate and encourage the highest possible number of the approximately 78,000 residents in the capital over 60, who have not yet been vaccinated or booked, to get vaccinated”. From 22 to 31 July, therefore, for the Milanese over 60 years of age, in each of the nine municipalities, mobile units will be available: “to allow them to access the anti-Covid-19 vaccination without booking – writes the note – , and only with health card and tax code “.
The injections will be carried out from 9 to 17 “with the single-dose vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), except for subjects for which it is not recommended”. They will therefore not have to carry out the recall. “We recall – concludes the Welfare DG – that it is in consideration of the age of the citizens invited to join this special campaign and the climatic conditions, linked to the summer season, which the Region has deemed reasonable and appropriate to ask the Municipality of Milan to prepare support areas. It is in fact necessary to make available to these people areas dedicated to administration, but also to reception and acceptance, to medical history and consent. As well as to inoculation, post-inoculation observation and management of any emergencies. Essential attention in an action developed for citizens over 60 “
