Matteo Renzi, the mother Laura Bovoli acquitted of the fraudulent bankruptcy charge in Cuneo

Laura Bovolic, mother of former premier Matteo Renzi, was acquitted from the court of Cuneo from the accusation of competition in fraudulent bankruptcy documentary due to the bankruptcy of a Cuneo company, the Direct srl, which was responsible for the dissemination of advertising material of large retailers. The decision came after an hour in the Council Chamber. Bovoli was not present in the courtroom. Direkta went bankrupt in 2012, when the former prime minister’s mother was at the helm of the “Events6” of Rignano sull’Arno, which received advertising contracts from large supermarket chains.

The ‘Eventi6’, for the distribution of the promotional brochures, also relied on Direkta, which in turn subcontracted the deliveries. The accusation of the Prosecutor of Cuneo in Bovoli was to have collaborated with the owner of the Direkta, Mirko Provenzato – who negotiated some time ago – in falsify accounts of society. The lawyers Stefano Bagnera and Dora Bisson, defenders of Bovoli and another defendant (also acquitted), clarified that the letters contested by the Prosecutor had not received no influence on accounting of Direkta and, therefore, on bankruptcy.
