Milan celebrated the Azzurri’s victory at the European football championships all night long. The real party broke out in Piazza Duomo just after Donnarumma saved the last penalty giving the blue dream: choirs, fireworks and tricolor flags enlivened the evening. But not only here: there was no lack of celebrations in all the streets of the city. The most “brave” fans climbed onto the roofs of the trams mistaken for stages. And if on the one hand there are those who celebrate, on the other there are the Atm technicians who were immediately alarmed: the company that manages transport in the Lombard capital has decided to remove the 600 Vdc voltage from the overhead contact line on the surface to avoid any accidents. “If it had not been so, today was not a party for someone who died electrocuted”, they write on the Facebook page Tranvieri of Milan.
Three people were seriously injured for the celebrations in Piazza Duomo
However, the crazy celebrations did not spare some of the injured: three boys were seriously rescued after midnight in Piazza Duomo, where thousands and thousands of people found themselves celebrating the victory together. One of them was transported in code red to the emergency room of the Polyclinic due to a serious wound in the abdomen caused by a paper bomb. Another 15 people rescued in the Cathedral: a 21-year-old boy lost the three fingers of one hand after a firecracker exploded. And again: a 22-year-old ended up in hospital with a bad chest injury caused by a hook from a barrier.
