Yes, precisely those events to which we were so used to and which for too long we were no longer able to participate due, of course, to a pandemic. Finally we can once again start marking food appointments on the agenda, including dinners, tastings, widespread events. Here’s what happens in the city in July.

Enoteca l’Antidoto and Tommaso Tonioni – 5 July

The boys ofEnoteca l’Antidoto in Trastevere (courageous opening at the end of 2020, which we told you about here) they host the chef for one evening Tommaso Tonioni, who has just started his new adventure from Arso, in Pulicaro. here is the menu: Oyster in synthesis, fermented bean bread, watermelon, marrow; The “Stemone” carpaccio, ox heart, fig leaves; The infusion of apricots and breaded egg, pollen, miso, pink pepper; Stuffed chicken wings, rice, courgettes, almonds; Cold grilled rabbit bundle, ‘nduja, dates, yogurt; Opercolo honey: sweet, fatty and savory, sheep’s milk ricotta, anchovy sauce. And natural wines to accompany.

Villetta Social LAB – every Monday and Tuesday in July
Every Monday and Tuesday in July, the Villetta Social LAB in Garbatella hosts special evenings combining the wines and bubbles of La Mescita wine shop, the craft beers of Hey Hop and the cuisine of Marco Bravin. Two shifts of two hours each, the table booked for the first shift must be vacated at 9.15 pm to allow the correct flow of people and maintain the distance. Admission is free, but only the reservation guarantees access to the events. On Tuesday 6 July the Italy – Spain match, semifinal of the 2020 European Championships will be broadcast: the aperitif tables must be vacated at 20.30.

Hosts and places in Rimessa Roscioli – 7 July
La Rimessa Roscioli Wednesday 7 July hosts Marzapane Roma and Super Naturale wines. An evening that is a mix of tastes and raw materials, poised between meat and fish, from monkfish liver to Nebrodi capocollo. All paired with one proposal of French wines unusual and fun, between the Loire, Beaujolais, Occitania, Alsace. The format of Osti e Posti, however, is not new: born in 2018, from an idea of Gaetano Saccoccio (one of the most representative faces of the Rimessa), “for us it is bringing an area of Italy to Rome and deepening it with tastings of dishes from the tavern we host and products of the artisans who come to visit us ”says Mattia Moliterni of Rimessa Roscioli. Chef Tommaso Fratini, for the occasion, has created a six-handed menu with chefs Guglielmo Chiarapini and Francesco Caputo Dolcetta di Marzapane.

Drinking Rose – July 8
Back in presence in Rome the event dedicated to still and sparkling rosé wines organized by Cucina & Vini and it does so in Appia Antica Park. The ninth edition of Bererosa restarts with a totally outdoor event, to allow a more agile and safe performance. It starts at 5pm to continue until midnight. Many companies were present, for a total of over 150 rosé wines for tasting to be served with fried food from Ascoli Piceno’s Bottega dell’Oliva, raw and cooked fish dishes, by the chef Emanuele Paoloni from Salsedine, with the gourmet husbands of Maritozzo Rosso. But there is also space for the pizzas made by the pizza chef Giuseppe Di Pinto.
