Elena Bonelli, creator and artistic director of the talent, “Voice of Rome” e “Ambassador of Roman song in the world” together with 11 super finalists of the contest of the Roman song “From stornello to rap” will be the protagonists of this musical journey dedicated to Rome and its wonderful new trend music.
The evening will be a real gala of the Roman song because in addition to the concert of Elena Bonelli, who will interpret the Roman songs of yesterday up to those of our days, the festival will see the most interesting artists of the current Roman scene on stage, or the finalists of the competition: Virginia Rufo, La Romantica, Erre Punto, Er Drago, Giulia Ventisette, Nitrus, Merrick and Petross, Box Boys, Chino. A great varied and sparkling performance, a container of history and musical tradition, a new creative wave of the young Roman singer-songwriters of the latest generation.
The final of the talent has for years now become a much awaited reference point for the contemporary music scene of the capital which every year marks a path in the history of Roman culture and over the years has launched many artists including Stray Skull, Emilio Stella, Mirkoelicane then landed in Sanremo, Simone Gamberi, Nicole Riso and many others…
The jury of the talent “From Stornello to RapWhich has given new life to the Roman song, has always been composed of authoritative names in the artistic-musical sector. Over the years, among the members, names of the caliber of Antonello Venditti, Marco Molendini, Simone Cristicchi, Simone Eleuteri alias Danno dei Colle der Fomento, Enrico Vanzina, Claudia Gerini, Valerio Mastandrea, Ricky Tognazzi, Peppe Vessicchio, Federico Moccia, Amedeo Minghi and many others.
On stage with Elena Bonelli a musical ensemble of 5 fantastic elements: Nanni Civitenga to the bass, Sergio Vitale on the trumpet, Giandomenico Anellino on the guitar, Puccio Panettieri to the battery e Stefano Paolozzi on the floor.

The Gran Gala at the end of the evening will see the announcement of the winners of the 5th and 6th edition of the competition. To reward the young artists in the competitionCouncilor for Culture of the City of Rome Lorenza Fruci, the Chief Executive Officer of Zétema Remo Tagliacozzo Culture Project, the Rai journalists Roberta Ammendola e Josephine Alessio and the president of the jury, the legendary artist Edoardo Vianello, will crown the winner of the “People’s Prize of Piazza del Popolo”.
This important event in Rome for Uefa 2020 is promoted by Department of Cultural Activities of Rome Capital with the coordination of Zetema Culture Project, with contributions from Music Foundation for Rome, Libraries of Rome, Cinema Foundation for Rome e House of Cinema.
FROM STORNELLO TO RAP The project that literally relaunched the Roman song.
The project “From Stornello to Rap” was born as a real cultural need for to infuse new life into a cross section of music and culture that is sometimes forgotten, bringing young people from all over Italy and beyond to this topic. “FROM STORNELLO TO RAP” since 2014 it has set itself the goal of being a project EDUCATIONAL, TRAINING, INTERDISCIPLINARY, CULTURAL AND MUSICAL. The project, which spans centuries of history, has introduced the Roman song for the first time as a subject of study in universities, to discover and learn about the cultural, social and artistic bridge that unites past and present, from 1200 to today, thus recovering and preserving the memory. The project is divided into several sections in addition to the competition for songwriters under 35: Lectio Magistralis in Italian and world universities, Lectio in concert that bring the contents of the lectio in concert, the book of the same name published by Arcana of the LIt Edizioni Group and musical documentaries produced annually with the support of the Lazio Region.
The founder and artistic director of the project is Elena Bonelli who has been bringing Roman culture and song abroad and in Italy for years. Singer and actress, Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature at Sapienza University of Rome and trained at Gigi Proietti’s theater workshop and at the Sharoff Academy of Dramatic Art and at Strasberg School in New York, she boasts numerous successes in the world in over 100 countries. Among the many we remember performances on stages such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Yeosu International Expo, the Rome Opera, the Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana and the opera houses of many countries.
In 2001 he conceived and implemented the project Mameli’s anthem under the High Patronage of President of the Republic and with the participation of Presidency of the Council of Ministers, of Senate of the Republic, of the House of Representatives he was born in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The CD with the lead voice of Elena Bonelli accompanied by the Band of the Carabinieri and from Choir of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma has been distributed since Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002 at all Embassies, i Consulates, the Italian Cultural Institutes and was distributed in 1.5 million copies to all Italians on 2 June 2002 from Corriere della Sera.
