Italian Legal Services lands in Milan with a law firm

Italian Legal Services (TLIndex186), a boutique specializing in structured finance, announces the opening of an office in Milan, following the establishment of a partnership between lawyers, called iLS Milan company between lawyers, in the legal form of Srl. At the same time, Italian Legal Services, a firm based in London, changed its name to iLS London and announces the entry of Marco Pallucchini as a new partner of iLS Milan. Pallucchini comes from Carnelutti (TLIndex35) where he was partner.

The two firms, reads a note, are presented to the market under the iLS banner and will provide legal services to their clients in a coordinated way and pursuing common commercial strategies. ILS will be led by Norman Pepe (in the photo) in the dual capacity of sole director of iLS London and chairman of the board of directors of iLS Milan, in via Turati 29. Pallucchini and Fabrizio Occhipinti, former partners of iLS London, will play the role of board members of iLS Milan as well as partners of the new firm.

Pallucchini will lead the iLS Milan M&A team. A lawyer with more than twenty years of experience, particularly in corporate transactions and litigation, he has also worked as a corporate lawyer. Before joining Carnelutti he was the founder and owner of Mapalaw. He started in 1996 at Baker Mckenzie and worked at Ey and Eversheds Sutherland. As in house he has held positions of responsibility in AMD.

Occhipinti, former partner of iLS London and recently returned to Italy, will coordinate the iLS Milan structured finance and distressed assets team. In London, however, the business will continue under the guidance of Norman Pepe e Lorenza Talpo, who joined the firm in July 2019, in their new offices in Shoreditch, a neighborhood adjacent to the City.

Still as part of an expansion strategy in Italy, on June 28 the firm formalized with Weigmann a “best friendship” agreement aimed at the mutual promotion of their services to their respective customers and collaboration on practices that require synergies between their specialist skills. ILS has also formed a partnership with eWitness Italy in the field of document management and digital processes at the service of complex operations.
