Padel lands in the heart of Milan. The game of the moment – a sort of tennis in which banks and rebounds are worth – takes the Porta Nuova area, symbol of the “new” city. In the past few hours, in fact, under the skyscrapers, in Piazza Gae Aulenti, two temporary fields have been inaugurated.
The lifts will remain until 23 August, they can be booked online and the cost will be 60 euros per hour. The idea comes from “Zeta Padel club”, the startup that involves padel fans and players from all over Italy. “The project, the result of the idea of six Italian entrepreneurs including the 2006 world champion Gianluca Zambrotta, has as its primary objective to ride the wave of padel, a real phenomenon of global trend. The new sports network wants to address the enthusiasts, to players and, at the same time, also to professionals, managers, executives and entrepreneurs who see in the padel field not only a driving force for socialization, but also the ideal place to cultivate interests and business “, explain the organizers in a note .
And the debut match on the new padel courts in Milan was a real Milanese derby. In fact, Gae Aulenti competed against Zambrotta in the company of Cristian Zaccardo, another former Rossoneri champion in 2006, against Lele Adani, a former Inter defender, and Nicola Ventola, a former Inter forward.
