ROMA – Ama Spa has signed and sent the signing of the contract with the Infratech Company for the supply of 15 electromechanical composters of 80 t / year for the duration of 5 years. It is in this way that Rome, we read in a note issued by the Campidoglio, “confirms the commitments made in terms of prevention and accesses regional contributions in favor of initiatives that encourage composting and self-composting”.
REDUCE THE PRODUCTION OF WASTE
“Thanks to the information and awareness work in recent months we have been able to involve various institutional realities including universities, public hospitals, comprehensive institutions, barracks – reads in the note also taken up by the Capitoline Councilor for Waste, Katia Ziantoni – The initiative is part of the objectives of reducing waste production that are added to further actions already undertaken, such as the fight against food waste and the elimination of single-use plastics”.
THE TIMING OF THE PROJECT
The company with which Ama has signed a contract will also take care of the infrastructures and plant engineering preparatory to the installation of the composters. The placement of these structures should start as early as the month of July and will end in October, within the deadlines set by the regional call, which expires at the end of the year.
