The president of Silb Emilia Romagna Gianni Indino returns to urge the government on the reopening of discos.
“16 months after the start of the pandemic, all Italian dance clubs remain closed. Once again our category has been taken as a scapegoat for all evils – comments the president of the SILB of Emilia Romagna, Gianni Indino – and yet if the “evil” had been the discos, after all these months with our activities closed to the public, the pandemic must have been only a bad and distant memory. This is not the case and even well-meaning and bigoted people who continue to be pleased with the imminent death of our sector must understand it, seeing the disaster, the resumption of infections and absolute evil in the reopening of the discos, forgetting, or not wanting to see what is actually happening around. to us every evening and every night. The gatherings that are created in each city are not allowed but are certainly tolerated, the abusive dance takes place in every place and the dance halls, which are the only ones with licenses and strict rules, destined for extinction.
Enough, we can’t take it anymore! I have mentioned it several times: Sardinia has been the symbol of our drama and from the mouth of many, still in these days, there is talk of the discos of that region as places where the virus has reproduced excessively, however omitting reality of the facts, or that the surge in infections in that area took place months after the summer openings of the premises and a few days after the reopening of schools and the massive return to the use of public transport. Furthermore, in April Sardinia was indicated as the only region in the White Zone in Italy on March 1st, but a month and a half later it was included in the Red Zone. All this with closed discos! Continuing to blame our sector for surges of infections, outbreaks, announced disasters I consider it not only a persecutory and highly discriminatory act, but also out of logic. The data prove it, so much so that in recent weeks the favorable opinion of the CTS for the reopening of the discos had also arrived. A strong signal but totally disregarded by the last Council of Ministers. Political reasons? Afraid of ghosts? Strategic design? It is not known. Certainly, even considering what the state has done in the recent past, we will not be fooled again by the word “refreshments”, economic measures that have always been lacking, drops in the sea for our sector, figures light years away from real needs. of important companies, which the government is leading to death together with all the workers in the sector and all the related activities they generate.
The managers of the Italian dance clubs will therefore activate a permanent garrison in front of the door of Palazzo Chigi, in front of the door of those government officials who are formally forcing them to close and are doing it in the most devious way possible, that is, making fun of them, promising , postponing dates and decisions. It will be a permanent, numerous, continuous, noisy garrison, with which the possibility of returning to work will be clamored. We are the only sector of the country still blocked, while around us everything is back to the way it was before and even worse than before on the illegal level. We do it for us, for the hundreds of thousands of families waiting to be able to return to work. From Monday the discos move to Rome, many also from Emilia Romagna “.
