I’m 882 i new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday they were +776, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 4.260.788 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 21 (yesterday there were 24), for a total of 127,587 victims from February 2020. People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4.083.843 e 1.941 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (3,135 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 49.358, below 50 thousand, equal to -1.083* compared to yesterday (-2.383 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 188.474, or 3,458 more than yesterday when it was 185,016. While the rate of positivity 0,5% (the approximation of 0.467%); yesterday it was 0.4%, down 1% since June 15. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday, however below the threshold of one thousand for the twelfth consecutive day. The improvement highlighted by the independent monitoring of the Gimbe foundation on a weekly basis (23-29 June): new cases -26.7% compared to the week before, while deaths are stable, equal to -0.5% (220 victims in 7 days versus 221). For 15 consecutive weeks there has been a decline in new weekly cases – explains Nino Cartabellotta, president of Gimbe -. However, a progressive decrease in testing activity continues to be observed, which underestimates the number of new cases and documents the insufficient tracing of contacts, crucial in this phase of the pandemic.
The curve of the new positives on the Civil Protection website
The Sicily has the highest number of infected: here are +137 cases with a rate of 1.3%. Only two regions above 100 follow: Lombardy (+137 cases thanks to over 35 thousand swabs with a 0.4% rate which is in line with the national one) e Campania (+107 cases with a rate of 0.8%).
At the European level, the situation becomes more complicated: After ten consecutive weeks of decline, infections have returned to increase last week in Europe, raising the risk of a new wave, says Hans Kluge, director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe. Adding: There will be a new wave in the European region, unless we remain disciplined.
The number of victims is stable: they are 21 against 24 yesterday. There are 12 regions with zero bereavement, to which the Provinces of Trento and Bolzano are added: these are Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Puglia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Marche, Liguria, Abruzzo, Umbria, Sardinia, Basilicata, Molise and Valle of Aosta. The highest number of deaths in Campania (+7) and Sicily (+4). Below the details of all the regions.

The decline in hospitalizations continues, both in critical and non-critical areas. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -61 (yesterday -83), for a total of 1,532 hospitalized. I beds occupied in intensive care (ICU) I’m -18 – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered IT – (yesterday -23), bringing the total of more seriously ill patients a 229, with 7 new entries in intensive care (yesterday 4).
The vaccine doses administered are over 51.5 million. Citizens who have received the second dose are more than 18.7 million (34.68% of the population over 12). Here the map updated every evening and here the real time data of the anti Covid-19 vaccines report on the government website.

* The reduction of the current positives – with the minus sign in front – depends on the fact that the recovered, added to the deaths, are greater in number than in the new cases.
** The Abruzzo Region announces that 3 cases have been eliminated from the total of positives as they have already been reported by another Region.
