Milan, 1 July The reclamation of the former Falck areas “has been completed and certified for about 40% of the entire land area, which is approximately 1.5 million square meters in total”. This was explained by the CEO of MilanoSesto, Giuseppe Bonomi, who took stock of the urban regeneration project on the sidelines of the Assolombarda assembly, which this year was held in the spaces of the former steel mill in Sesto San Giovanni.
Next Monday, in particular, an imported construction site will start, which is one of the first public works to service the redevelopment of the area where the City of Health will be built: the railway station, which will serve to join two strips of territory and the new pole to the city of Milan.
“From Monday onwards, a series of construction sites will be developed which will have as their object the City of Health and Research, the executive planning phase of which will be completed by the end of the year”. From here, the construction works of the City of Health will start, which by schedule “will have to be completed within three years”, so at the beginning of 2025 we will have “the completion of the hospital project”. In 2023, “work will start on the new San Raffaele university and hospital complex. We will continue the reclamation of an area to make it a large public park”. That of MilanoSesto, he specified, “will not be an island, but a place where it is pleasant to live, perfectly integrated into the urban fabric”.
