ROMA – New inauguration for 10 buses of the 62-vehicle supply purchased by Roma Capitale on the Consip platform at the end of 2020. The 12-meter vehicles are now ready to enter service and were presented by the mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi in the Magliana depot. “The renewal of the Atac fleet continues, which has now become structural thanks to the investments made in recent years. By 2021 we will have over 900 new buses on the road, an important result achieved through a serious and coherent programming, the one that our city has been waiting for for years to relaunch the public transport service.“, Declares the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi.
NEW BUSES COMING IN THE NEXT DAYS
These vehicles will serve the connections between the southwest quadrant and the city center. Also present were the CEO of Atac Giovanni Mottura and the deputy mayor with delegation to the city in motion Pietro Calabrese. With another 22 buses arriving, according to the Capitol, over 860 new vehicles will enter service starting from 2016 and will become more than 900 by the year. “With these new vehicles destined for the Magliana depot, we continue to renew the bus fleet and improve public transport in our city, also replacing the oldest vehicles in circulation.
