From the book to the film, “If I hug you, don’t be afraid” comes out to tell about autism

Autism Awareness Day is celebrated around the world on April 2. Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, those who suffer from it seem to live in a world apart and often the difficulties in interacting are great. With this day we want to sensitize people to know and better understand this disorder. For the occasion, tomorrow the film “If I hug you, don’t be afraid” will be released on the Nexo + streaming platform.

“If I embrace you, don’t be afraid” is directed by Niccolò Maria Pagani, produced by Ushuaia Film in collaboration with The children of the fairies and tells the relationship between a father and his teenage son who suffers from autism. A road movie and interpreted by the real protagonists of the story Franco and Andrea Antonello who, after their long journey through the United States from which the homonymous book written by Fulvio Ervas and published by Marcos y Marcos was born. The enormous success of the book then inspired the director Gabriele Salvatores for the film “All my crazy love”. This time Fulvio and Andrea have decided to get back on their bikes and cross Europe to get to Morocco, embarking on a journey of almost 9000 kilometers documented in this precious film.
