Sylvester Stallone will not return in Creed 3 | Cinema

It was JoBlo who noted that, in a comment to one of his posts on Instagram, Sylvester Stallone confirmed that he will not return to play Rocky in Creed 3, the third installment of the spin-off saga of the legendary franchise that opened in 1976 with the film directed by John G. Avildsen and written by Stallone himself. In the commentary, Sylvester Stallone specified that Creed 3 will happen but that he will not appear in the cast.

In March, we learned that Creed 3 will be directed by Michael B. Jordan and will hit American theaters on Thanksgiving weekend 2022.

Jordan explained his decision thus:

Directing has always been something I aspired to, but there had to be the right circumstances. Creed 3 represents all of this and it came at a time in my life where I have matured and confident, I have grown professionally and personally by learning from greats like Ryan Coogler and, more recently, Denzel Washington. This franchise and the Creed 3 themes in particular are very important and personal to me.

The actor, we remember, has interpreted Adonis Johnson in 2015 in Creed – Born to Fight, and later reprized the part in 2018 in Creed 2. The one behind the camera in Creed 3 is his directorial debut.

At the same time, we also know that Sylvester Stallone has a project in mind for one prequel tv series dedicated to the years of his beloved’s youth Rocky. The boxer protagonist of the very successful film saga consisting of six films and two spin-offs could continue to live through this new project (HERE ARE ALL THE DETAILS).

What do you think of this update given by Sylvester Stallone on Creed 3 and how long are you waiting for the film? You can have your say, as usual, in the comments box below!
