“Congratulations, you have done a very good job. Well done “. On Saturday evening Vittorio Sgarbi did not miss the opportunity to see closely the only work signed by Giovanni da Rimini, progenitor of the Riminese school of painting of the fourteenth century, exhibited together with five others in the exhibition L’Oro di Giovanni, which closes on Sunday afternoon.
Accompanied by the curator Alessandro Giovanardi, the art historian dwelt at length on the crosses of the Rimini master and, in particular, on that of Mercatello sul Metauro, restored on the occasion of the exhibition, delighting in the possibility of seeing them so close to Palazzo Buonadrata, placed in a close confrontation. Sgarbi also appreciated the visual materials and the layout that accompany the visitor in the exhibition.
Also on Saturday the exhibition hosted hundreds of visitors, with judgments that confirm their great appreciation for the initiative of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Rimini which made possible the vision of the Cross 86 years after its last exhibition in Rimini. The exhibition is promoted by the Cassa di Risparmio di Rimini Foundation and Soroptimist Rimini, and organized by the A. Marvelli Higher Institute of Religious Sciences. In addition to Crédit Agricole and the Association of Banking Foundations of Emilia-Romagna, the Rimini Order of Accountants Foundation, Digitalprint and Ikuvium also support the event. The patronages are of the Emilia-Romagna Region, of the Regional Cultural Heritage Service, and of the Municipality of Rimini.
