Royal wedding in Sicily: Prince Don Jaime of Bourbon will marry his Charlotte in Monreale

Great expectations in Monreale for the wedding between Prince Don Jaime of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, Duke of Noto and Lady Charlotte Lindesay-Bethune. The royal wedding will be celebrated on 25 September in the town on the outskirts of Palermo.

The “Falcone e Borsellino” airport of Palermo had never witnessed the passage of so many royal and noble passengers “as in this week, the safety apparatus to protect prepared by the Government Authority is noteworthy.

Whizzing by private cars with tarnished windows that from the arrivals of the Punta Raisi airport lead the few elected guests to participate in the royal event, as now called by many. Much anticipation in the city for the arrival of the Bourbon Two Sicilies and their guests from the European royal families and a lot of curiosity for this very reserved “Duosiciliana” family which, characterized by a sober and elegant lifestyle, is a combination of tradition and modernity.

Apart from the celebration of the wedding in Monreale on September 25th, the program of the “Sicilian Royal Wedding” remains known only to the guests and it seems impossible to penetrate the protection net to safeguard the privacy of the Royal spouses and their families.

Prince Don Jaime of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies was born in Madrid on 30 June 1996. He is the eldest son of the head of the Royal House of Bourbon of the Two Sicilies, Prince Don Pedro, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta and Donna Sofia Landaluce y Melgarejo, great-grandson of the Dukes of San Fernando de Quiroga. Lady Charlotte Diana Lindesay-Bethune is the daughter of James Randolph Lindesay-Bethune, 16th Earl of Lindsay, and Diana Mary Chamberlayne-Macdonald, Countess of Lindsay, daughter of a gentleman to the Queen.
