TRENTO. The Trento Summer Festival starts tonight with the concert by Francesco De Gregori. And to welcome the “Prince” of Italian auteur music, on stage at 9 pm, there will be the thousand spectators who managed to find tickets for a sold out Piazza Duomo.
The Roman singer-songwriter on this occasion will present his “De Gregori & Band Live – The Greatest Hits” played on the great classics of his repertoire accompanied by a band that unites Guido Guglielminetti (bass and double bass), Carlo Gaudiello (keyboards), Paolo Giovenchi ( guitars), Alessandro Valle (pedal steel guitar and mandolin), Primiano Di Biase (hammond) and Simone Talone (percussion).
The “De Gregori & Band Live – The Greatest Hits” was scheduled for last summer but then even the Capitoline singer-songwriter had to change all his plans due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic.
The Trento Summer Festival, organized by Showtime together with Radio Italia Anni 60 ‘tomorrow evening will see the singer Annalisa on the stage in Piazza Duomo (in this case there are still tickets available to the public), while the live on Sunday 1 August has been canceled with Jethro Tull who were forced to cancel their summer tour due to the pandemic.
A curiosity: Piazza Duomo will not be passable or accessible to those who do not have a ticket: there will be barriers from the middle of Via Belenzani and on all the other entrances. And the customers of the bars in the square will be able to sit and consume only by paying a “reduced” ticket of 29 euros for the concert.
“Something that has also been done in the past – the organizers explain to us – and that was welcomed by the bar managers: there was great enthusiasm, and for us he managed the pre-sale of Walter Botto bar tickets”.
