The Pekingese Wasabi is the most beautiful dog in America

A Pekingese named Wasabi won America’s Most Beautiful Dog Award. It happened at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Wasabi netted her in a shortlist that also included a whippet, a French bulldog, an English shepherd, a German shorthaired pointer, a Samoyed and a West Highland white terrier. Overall, 2,500 champion dogs entered the show. The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is considered to be the nation’s most prestigious canine event. It underwent major changes this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, moving out of New York for the first time since its founding in 1877.
