Xiaomi has also launched its Mi 11 in Italy, the company’s first top of the range for this year and one of the first ever among all companies. Another company that has not been watching is certainly Samsung which with its S21 family has absolutely already established itself as the new standard for 2021. For this it certainly makes sense to compare Xiaomi Mi 11 with S21 +, the intermediate component of Samsung and the more correct at least in terms of size (because let’s face it the size of the smartphone is the first feature we evaluate).
REVIEWS: Samsung Galaxy S21 + / Xiaomi Mi 11
The two smartphones have many points in common but also many differences. Both have a 120 Hz, but only Xiaomi has focused a lot on charging systems (55W wired and 50W wireless), as well as being the only one to include the suitable power supply already in the package. Samsung has perhaps guessed the design better (we explain more in the video) and has made a waterproof smartphone according to it standard IP68.
On the sector photographic the battle is very close, but there are more situations in which we have given Samsung the winner than those in which Xiaomi has won. More details in the video, where we comment on both the photos and the different configuration of the cameras used. Below you will find the photos taken by the two smartphones, ready to be downloaded at full resolution.
From the hardware point of view, Samsung Galaxy S21 + has some more tricks up its sleeve, such as USB-C 3.1 video output, eSIM support, 5G mmWave (even if disabled via software for now) and the fingerprint reader. ultrasonic. Xiaomi Mi 11 tries to be forgiven with the presence of the infrared port. We will not spend many words on the software, because it is certainly a matter of taste, since both interfaces offer broadly the same functionality. But it certainly deserves a mention Samsung DeX, to use the smartphone connected to a monitor or PC in desktop mode.
CARD COMPARISON: Galaxy S21 + vs Mi 11
And we close with prices. Here Xiaomi can boast of costing much less: 799€, against the 1079€ required for the Samsung. Samsung, however, is already on the market and has already been discounted several times, while Xiaomi has yet to arrive on the market. Both are not drastic innovations compared to 2020, but Samsung is certainly the one that has made the leap forward, especially thanks to theExynos 2100, still far from perfect, but much more similar to the counterpart Snapdragon 888, which still maintains some advantage. Surely the prices at which these smartphones will be offered in the coming months will make the difference.
