Reinforced orange and red zone: the Italy Covid map today. Here are all the micro zones

Rome, February 24, 2021. Reinforced white, yellow, orange, orange, red and micro red zone. Italy of colors at the time of Coronavirus and of its variants it is more changeable than a Harlequin dress. Each risk area has its own rules and restrictions. The goal is to stem the epidemic, also because the infections, due to the new strains that are spreading in our country, are on the rise and everyone wants to avoid a total lockdown like last year. But let’s see how the danger zones work and what are the regions in which they are applied.

The bulletin of the infections: the data region by region

The mechanism

Italy of colors was introduced for the first time with dpcm of 3 November last. Since then, various changes have been introduced or others are being studied to make the risk map more and more consistent with reality and therefore more effective. 21 parameters are taken into consideration to establish the scale of risks. An algorithm (which many have raised doubts about) then establishes the position of each individual region. The most important factor, in any case, is the Rt index, the one that measures how fast the virus is being transmitted. Here, simplifying a lot, how the bands are assigned.
White area: introduced on January 16, there are practically no restrictions in this area. Skip the curfew and restaurants, cinemas, gyms and museums can reopen at full hours. The RT must be less than 1 and fewer than 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants must occur for at least three consecutive weeks.
Yellow zone: the Rt index must not exceed the threshold of 1.25. In these areas there is a curfew from 10pm to 5am. Cinemas, gyms and museums remain closed. You can only eat out for lunch, as restaurants and bars from 6pm can only accept takeaway orders.
Orange zone: the Rt index must not exceed the threshold of 1.5. In these areas, in addition to the measures already provided for the yellow areas, you cannot leave your municipality of residence. The restaurants are also closed for lunch.
Reinforced orange zone: to the measures already envisaged by the government, each Region can apply more severe crackdowns in certain areas, which may involve the closure of schools or the limitation of other activities.
Red zone: if the Rt index exceeds the threshold of 1.5, you must stay at home. Only essential activities remain open.
Micro red zone: to stem the outbreaks in the bud, the Regions can establish red zones within their territories. The same rules apply as in high-risk areas, even if the region is perhaps in the yellow or even white area.
