Covid in Campania, today 1,436 positive and 38 deaths: the contagion index drops below 10% but hospitalizations and intensive care are growing

The curve of Coronavirus infections in Campania falls: today the virus is registered 1,436 positives out of 15,061 swabs carried out, 234 more than yesterday with 3,964 fewer swabs processed. As a percentage, it means that 9.53% of the tests are positive, one percentage point less than yesterday when the contagion index was 10.83%. Of all these newly infected, 1,008 are asymptomatic and only 100 have symptoms in a bulletin which, however, does not take into account the cases identified with rapid antigen tests.

More generally, the total of positives rises to 255,754 on 2,820,917 swabs processed while the number of victims rises to 4,179 with the 38 deaths recorded yesterday, even if the crisis unit is quick to specify that “these are previously deceased”. The number of hospital admissions is also growing: 1,327 hospitalized with symptoms, eight more than yesterday, and 132 patients in intensive care, seven more than yesterday. Fortunately, the number of patients cured is also growing, from 178,925 to 181,042 with 2,117 negativized in 24 hours.
