Coronavirus in Emilia-Romagna, today’s June 16 bulletin: 73 infections and 3 deaths

BOLOGNA – The new coronavirus cases reported by the Region today are 73 (28 asymptomatic), which emerged from 17,300 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 0.4%. The average age of new positives today is 33.8 years.

The contagion situation in the provinces sees Rimini with 11 new cases, followed by Parma, Ferrara and Cesena, all with 10 cases; then Ravenna (8), Bologna (6), Reggio Emilia and Modena (both with 5 cases); then Forlì (4), the Imolese district (3), and finally Piacenza (1).

The CAIs registered in the region since the beginning of the pandemic are 385,941 to date. As for the total number of people healed, they are 647 more than yesterday and reach 366,031. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 6,671 (-577 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms who do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 6,351 (-562) overall, 95.2% of the total number of active cases. There are 51 patients admitted to intensive care (-5 compared to yesterday), 269 those in the other Covid departments (-10).

There are 3 new deaths: 1 in the province of Modena (a 79-year-old man) and 2 in the province of Bologna (a 79-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man). No deaths in all other provinces. In total, there have been 13,239 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.

Vaccinations, 1,444,000 immunized people in Emilia-Romagna

At 3 pm, a total of 3,280,329 doses were administered; out of the total, 1,144,281 people have completed the vaccination cycle.
