According to reports from Ansa, the 18-year-old from Sestri Levante, Camilla Canepa, who died after the Astrazeneca vaccine for a cavernous sinus thrombosis, had a familial autoimmune thrombosis and was taking drugs for this pathology. The young woman was vaccinated on 25 May at the open day dedicated to over 18s and on Sunday 6 June last she was hospitalized at San Martino in Genoa already in serious condition. Undergoing surgery to reduce intracranial pressure and remove the thrombus, she died yesterday.

Already on June 3 at the Lavagna hospital she presented herself with a headache and photophobia. Now investigators focus on the statement on the vaccine consent form and the tests performed that Thursday in Lavagna. It is of paramount importance to know if the girl’s health condition linked to thrombocytopenia was known.
