Covid 19, healed among the positives: short circuit in the As1 data

During the meeting of theCrisis unit one of the last week emerged strong discrepancy between the data on the currently positive Covid 19 communicated by the ASL during the meeting and those resulting from the national and regional telematic platforms. Hence the request to companies, by the president Marco Marsilio and councilor Nicoletta Verì, to carry out a timely verification of these data.

This was clarified by the Department of Health.

In particular it was ascertained that in the face of a number of active cases between 290 and 470 for the Asl Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti, Pescara and Teramo, the data concerning the Asl Avezzano-Sulmona-L’Aquila stood at over 3200 cases.

Further investigations made it possible to verify that on the platform, cases dating back to the summer of 2020 were still currently positive, that had not been expelled and inserted among the healed.

The realignment work began on Monday (with the first 1930 healed of the ASL 1 counted in yesterday’s report), which will continue in the next few days. For the purposes of the epidemiological trend, nothing changes: new positives and hospitalizations remain steadily decreasing.

However, it remains to be understood how such a striking fact could have happened, on which the Department has already asked the leaders of the ASL.
