The new positives increase but the coronavirus infection curve collapses in Campania, never so low since the second wave exploded: today the virus records 251 positives out of 9,473 molecular swabs examined, 74 more than yesterday with 6,067 more swabs processed. As a percentage, it means that 2.64% of the tests are positive, almost half of yesterday when the contagion index was at 5.20%. Of all these newly infected, 181 are asymptomatic and 70 show symptoms in a bulletin which, however, does not take into account the cases identified with rapid antigen tests.

Overall, the number of victims rises to 7,268 with the 16 deaths recorded yesterday, even if the crisis unit is quick to specify that “they are those who died previously”. The number of hospital admissions is still decreasing: 553 hospitalized with symptoms, 13 fewer than yesterday, and 42 patients in intensive care, one less than yesterday. Fortunately, however, the number of patients cured is growing, from 351,110 to 351,905 with 795 negativized in 24 hours and the balance between the number of recovered and newly infected is positive for the 35th day in a row.
