From 7 June, marriages resume after months of stop imposed due to the pandemic – The Government has imposed precise rules for spouses, envoys and staff – Here is everything you need to know
From 7 June in the white area, from 15 June in the yellow area. In Italy marriages start again after the months of hiatus imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But with what rules? With the last dpcm in force since May 18, the Government has imposed limitations aimed at safeguarding the safety of spouses and guests for receptions following civil or religious functions. The rules, among other things, also apply to communions, confirmations, baptisms and so on and must be respected regardless of the area in which you are located (white or yellow). Let’s see them one by one.
COVID WEDDINGS 2021: THE GREEN PASS
Anyone wishing to attend a wedding will need to have a green pass. For those who have already received the first dose of the vaccine, the certificate will be available from the 15th day following the inoculation, while those who have already received both doses the certificate will be issued immediately. Guests who have had Covid and are cured can request the green pass at the hospital or, alternatively, at the attending physician. The third way to obtain the certificate is to do a swab (antigenic, molecular or salivary) in the 48 hours preceding the event. Children under 2 years are excluded from the obligation.
COVID WEDDINGS 2021: THE GUESTS
This rule will make spouses and organizers breathe a sigh of relief. The government has set a very high maximum number of guests: one thousand people. However, the available space (internal or external) must be taken into consideration: two meters for each guest. In other words: the larger the space available for the reception, the more guests there can be.
Attention to a fundamental rule: the data of the participants must be kept for the 14 days following the wedding.
YOU DON’T NEED THE COVID MANAGER
Despite the initial announcements, it will not be mandatory to hire a Covid Manager for every 50 guests, nor to identify this figure among the employees of the venue.
Instead, it will be mandatory to measure the body temperature of those sent to the entrance. Anyone with a temperature above 37.5 ° C cannot enter.
COVID WEDDINGS 2021: THE RULES ON MASKS
Obligatory mask for everyone both indoors (when married or sent are not seated at the table) and outdoors if it is not possible to respect the distance meter. Mandatory mask on mouth and nose also for staff. Attention also to the type: surgical masks or higher will be needed.
RULES INDOOR OR OUTDOOR
Given the arrival of summer, the protocol recommends celebrating outdoors. However, it is not mandatory. In case of receptions and ceremonies indoors, the air exchange must be guaranteed. And therefore: doors, windows and windows open.
COVID WEDDINGS 2021: THE TABLES
The tables must be arranged in such a way as to “ensure the maintenance of at least 1 meter of separation between the guests of different tables in indoor environments and of at least 1 meter of separation in outdoor environments”.
THE RULES FOR THE BUFFET
Buffets are only allowed if the food is administered by the staff. Guests will not be able to touch the dishes displayed on the tables and must keep their distance. While waiting for your turn it is mandatory to wear a mask. If you opt for self-service, the dishes must be displayed in closed and single-serving packs.
RULES FOR TABLE SERVICE
Rules also for table service: it is recommended to adopt a single menu at the tableau marriage and / or individual menus for the exclusive use of the guest. Sauces, bread, crackers, breadsticks can be served to participants in single portions with the use of tongs. The use of place cards is recommended to ensure that guests always sit in the same place.
MUSIC AND DANCE
The band hired for the reception must keep a distance of 3 meters from the audience, unless there is a Plexiglas barrier in front of the microphone. The obligation to wear a mask is foreseen only when the members of the group move into the internal common areas. Shows and / or artistic performances of any kind are allowed as long as the interpersonal distance of one meter can always be respected.
Green light to outdoor dances, while if the ballroom is indoors, an area of 2 square meters must be guaranteed for each guest, enhancing the air exchange.
The favors must be personally delivered to each envoy after having sanitized their hands. It is forbidden to take the favor from a common table at the exit of the room.
