From today, the Confederation begins to issue the first Covid certificates and apps begin to arrive on the online stores. For the moment the two software are only available for Apple, but they should also appear on the Android store very soon.
The first application, the indispensable one for those who want to access places where the certificate will need to be shown from July, is called Covid Certificate. It is an app that allows you to scan the QR code of the paper document so that it can be stored on the smartphone. Just scan the code once with the camera and that’s it. The data is stored on the mobile phone, so it is important to keep the hard copy anyway.
Covid Certificate Check
The second application is the Covid Certificate Check, which you will only need if you are called to check the authenticity of a certificate, for example at the entrance to an event. It is therefore a software for professionals, but just as simple. By framing the QR code of a certificate, in this case, it is possible to check that the Covid certificate is valid and the name, surname and date of birth of the holder are shown.
Waiting for Europe
In the meantime, the single European certificate is still awaited, the so-called Covid Pass, arriving at the beginning of July and which will be compatible with the Swiss one. In any case, some countries already accept the certificate issued by Switzerland, including Greece, Croatia, Spain, Turkey, Germany and France. The certificate also allows you to avoid quarantine if you return to Switzerland, unless you come from a state with a worrying variant, these are Brazil, Canada, India, Nepal, United Kingdom and South Africa.
