Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 384,514 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 150 more than yesterday, out of a total of 19,498 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 0.7%.

At 3 pm a total of 2,783,145 doses were administered; out of the total, 1,023,010 are second doses, ie people who have completed the vaccination cycle.
The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 41 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, 62 of the new positives were already in isolation at the time of swab execution, 86 were identified within already known foci.
The average age of new positives today is 37.3 years.
Of the 41 asymptomatic, 33 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 3 through tests for the risk categories introduced by the Region, 2 with serological screenings, 1 through pre-hospitalization tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 2 cases.
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 40 new cases and Modena with 36; then Forlì (15), Reggio Emilia (12), Rimini (11), Ravenna and Cesena (both 10); followed by Parma and Ferrara (both 5), then Piacenza (3) and, again with 3 new cases, the Imola district.
These are the data – ascertained at 12 today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region.
In the last 24 hours, 9,620 molecular swabs were carried out, for a total of 4,803,703. In addition, there are also 9,878 quick swabs.
As for the total number of people healed, they are 1,118 more than yesterday and reach 359,102.
The active cases, ie the actual patients, are 12,214 to date (-973 compared to yesterday). Of these, people in isolation at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, total 11,688 (-938), 95.7% of all active cases.
Unfortunately, there are five new deaths: 1 in Parma (a 90-year-old man), 3 in Bologna (an 87-year-old woman, whose death was registered by the Imola Local Health Authority, and two other women of 89 and 96 years old) ), 1 in Ferrara (a 59-year-old man).
In total, there have been 13,198 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
There are 78 patients admitted to intensive care (-10 compared to yesterday), 448 those in the other Covid departments (-25).
