There are 254 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily, down from yesterday’s 289. The tests carried out in the last 24 hours are 11,716, with the positivity rate remaining stable at 2.1%. The Region is in second place in Italy for the number of daily infections.

The daily deaths are 3 and bring the total to 5,858, the healed 186. In hospitals there are 459 patients, nine less than yesterday, those in intensive care are 46, one less than in the previous bulletin.

This is the distribution of the new infected by province: 71 in Catania, 53 in Ragusa, 47 in Palermo, 37 in Trapani, 26 in Syracuse, 10 in Enna, 5 in Caltanissetta, 4 in Messina, 1 in Agrigento.

In Italy there are 59 deaths from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours (yesterday there were 62). The positives were 1,968, down from 2,897 yesterday.

97,633 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out (yesterday they were 226,272). The positivity rate is 2%, up from 1.2% yesterday.

The patients admitted to intensive care for Covid are 892, with a decrease of 41 compared to yesterday in the daily balance between entries and exits. The daily admissions were 24 (yesterday they were 33). The hospitalized with symptoms in the ordinary wards are 5,717, down by 141 units compared to yesterday (when the drop was 334).

In total, the cases since the beginning of the epidemic are 4,225,163, the deaths 126,342. The discharged and healed are instead 3,893,259, with an increase of 6,392 compared to yesterday, while the currently positive drop to 205,562, down by 4,488 in the last 24 hours.
