Tangentopoli to the Municipality of Torre Annunziata: the former deputy mayor in handcuffs Luigi Ammendola. The financiers of the group and of the Torre Annunziata company notified this morning a precautionary custody order, issued by the investigating judge at the request of the Oplontine Prosecutor’s Office, against the former deputy mayor, very loyal to the regional councilor Mario Casillo.

Ammendola would be involved in the affair of the bribes on the beach of Seven Cliffs which saw the arrest in flagrantee, last December, of the then head of the technical office Nuncio Ariano, who had collected the bribe of 10 thousand euros for the work of making the safety of the ancient rules of the city schools. Further details will be communicated in the next few hours.

Ariano has been in prison for over six months, while the mayor’s powers have been revoked in Ammendola Vincenzo Ascione immediately after the outbreak of the bribe scandal.

Marshal of the finance police serving at the Torre del Greco company, Ammendola is accused of undue induction, crime committed in his capacity as deputy mayor and councilor for public works of the Municipality of Torre Annunziata. For this reason, the investigating judge has arranged for him to be transferred to prison.

At the same time, the financiers notified a one-year ban on contracting with the public administration for the company. Supino Group srl of Naples, a company that would have obtained direct assignments for those jobs in exchange for bribes.
