Sara had been affected by the coronavirus in mid-March and due to severe covid symptoms it had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit of San Martino di Genova but, after several weeks of treatment and just when she seemed on the way to recovery, she was struck down by an illness and died without being able to hug her two-year-old daughter again. Sara Funaro has died in the last 37 years after ten days of coma following a cardiac arrest sudden while he was still struggling with the coronavirus.
The doctors had tried to keep her alive and even managed to restart her heart at the time of the cardiac arrest but the consequences on his body turned out to be too serious already suffering from the long fight against covid-19 that had lasted for months now. The 37-year-old went into a coma and the doctors had to give up after ten days, declaring her death.
Many are mourning the death of 37-year-old Sara Funaro, who is La Spezia’s youngest victim of Covid since the beginning of the pandemic. The condolence is an anime in the world of La Spezia traders where it was well known as well as the historical father of Confcommercio. One of the first public messages of condolence was that of the Confcommercio of La Spezia for which Sara had worked in the past. “Confcommercio clings to the deep pain of his friend and colleague Mario Funaro who yesterday lost his beloved daughter Sara, who died prematurely at the age of only 37” reads the statement which adds: “Sara, who collaborated with Confcommercio and for many years he had worked at Zara, he also leaves behind little Camilla, just two years old, his sister Romina and niece Alice ”.
