The long-awaited moment has arrived: it opens up to vaccinations for the youngest. Also in Sicily, from tomorrow 3 June, reservations to receive the dose of the anti Covid vaccine for those between 16 and 39 years old. The extension of the administration to the new target – which includes over 1.3 million people – was authorized as part of the national immunization campaign. On the island, at 6:08 am on 2 June, 2,624,299 doses have already been injected.
For this new phase, the last one, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be used and on a voluntary basis also Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) and Janssen (single-dose). To book you will need to follow the procedure indicated in the form on national portal activated by Poste Italiane, also reachable through the website of the Sicilian Region, through all the sites of the companies of the regional health system e that of the Fair, valid only for the hub in via Sadat.
This is not an open day. Given the breadth of the target, the emergency commissioner led by Renato Costa explains, booking is essential. For those who come to get vaccinated at the Fair, the gates of Via Sadat will open at 8 and close at 23.30; from 1.30 am, those booked for the night shift will have access from the entrance to piazza Cascino. To ensure an orderly flow, the two exhibition halls, 20 and 20A, will operate simultaneously.

We will be here 24 hours a day, waiting for anyone who wants to contribute to this great collective effort to get out of the pandemic together “.
On Friday the delivery, through SDA of Poste Italiane, of 113,300 anti Covid vaccines, of which 85,800 doses of the AstraZeneca type and 27,500 Johnson & Johnson is expected in Sicily. Deliveries are intended for hospital pharmacies in Palermo (respectively 21,200 AstraZeneca – 6,850 Janssen), di Giarre (19,200 – 6,050), Milazzo (10,800 – 3,450), Enna (2,800 – 900), Erice (7,400 – 2,400), Syracuse (6,900 – 2,200), Ragusa (5,500 – 1,800), Agrigento (7,500 – 2,400) and Caltanissetta (4,500 – 1,450).
