Covid in Campania, today 388 positive and five deaths: the contagion index drops to 2.98%

The new positives increase but the Coronavirus infection curve in Campania decreases significantly: today the virus records 388 positives out of 13,014 molecular swabs examined, 13 more than yesterday with 2,572 fewer swabs processed. As a percentage, it means that 2.98% of the tests are positive, half a percentage point less than yesterday when the contagion index was at 3.59%. Of all these newly infected, 249 are asymptomatic and 139 have symptoms in a bulletin which, however, does not take into account the cases identified with rapid antigen tests.

Overall, the number of victims rises to 7,221 with the five deaths recorded yesterday, even if the crisis unit is quick to specify that “they are those who died previously”. The number of hospital admissions is still decreasing: 624 hospitalized with symptoms, 12 fewer than yesterday, and 55 patients in intensive care, three fewer than yesterday. Fortunately, on the other hand, the number of patients cured is growing, from 345,384 to 347,234 with 794 negativized in 24 hours and the balance between the number of recovered and newly infected is positive for the 29th day in a row.
