Nine positives and six quarantined, institutes closed since Thursday

NUORO. Sardinia has entered the white zone and the numbers of the contagion from Covid are dropping sharply, but some criticalities persist. What is worrying is Aritzo, a village in the Barbagia di Belvì of 1,200 inhabitants, where an outbreak among students broke out and in a few days 9 citizens tested positive for the virus, while another 6 are in quarantine. The Prefectural Commissioner Antonio Monni, in agreement with the Ats and with the collaboration of the “Soccorso Aritzo” association, therefore decided to subject all the population to a mass screening to contain the cases. So this afternoon from 4 pm the rapid antigen tests will start in the elementary school gymnasium. In case of positivity, the results will not be obtained before tomorrow: the tests must in fact be confirmed with the molecular swab.

“There was some problem because perhaps some have not done their duty in terms of prevention – explains Commissioner Monni – There have been positive in kindergartens, elementary and middle schools, where we will suspend lessons from Thursday. In the meantime, we await the results of the screening to assess the extent of the outbreak in the country “. (HANDLE).
