Investigations continue into the death of the engineer Giorgio Paganelli, 52, resident in Bosisio Parini, who died last Friday a few hours after receiving the first dose of Pfizer vaccine at the facility set up in Lariofiere di Erba.
The 52-year-old’s brother filed a complaint with the Costa Masnaga carabinieri and the Lecco Public Prosecutor’s Office, with the acting prosecutor, Alessandro Pepè and the prosecutor Andrea Figoni who coordinates the investigations, wants to see clearly and yesterday the anatomopathologist Paolo Tricomi performed the autopsy examination. Tissues were taken and accurate examinations were carried out which, in the next few days, will be delivered to the forensic medicine center in Milan. The outcome will be in two months and the family members hope to have answers on the causes of death. Giorgio Paganelli had received the first dose of Pfizer vaccine and after returning home, he had resumed work but was taken ill at around 10 pm and, despite the intervention of the health workers, he died an hour later. To clarify the reasons for the death of the engineer Paganelli, Asst Lariana “awaits the results of the investigations that the authorities deem necessary and appropriate”. “In any case – they conclude at the Asst Lariana – it is useless to alarm that could to some extent interfere with the progress of the vaccination campaign”.
