Covid vaccines: reservations from 9 April for the most vulnerable, disabled and caregivers

Vaccination of citizens of extremely vulnerable categories, disabled people and those who assist them continues in Lombardy: from 9 April they will also be able to book on the Poste Italiane portal or through the toll-free number 800/894545.

The names of extremely vulnerable patients were collected from the lists of exemptions for pathology and from those on the use of specific drugs, verified by the Welfare Directorate General of the Lombardy Region and sent to the Ats that manage the distribution of vaccines.

The names amount to 366,705, for 54,458 doses already administered, of which 31,548 first doses and 22,910 second doses. The vaccination of this particular category of people is carried out by hospitals that treat extremely fragile citizens, by general practitioners, after sharing with the relevant ATS, and by vaccination centers, with the use of Pfizer or Moderna. .

From 9 April, these categories of citizens will be able to use the website or the call center (800.894545); the network of 1,083 Postamats present in the Lombardy region to be used with the health card; the network of over 4,000 letter holders in Lombardy. The postmen will issue the receipt necessary for the user to report to the vaccine dispensing center. In all these cases the booking is direct and does not require a pre-membership.

DISABLED
The names of Lombard citizens of the disabled category were instead provided by INPS, based on law 104, article 3, paragraph 3. The administrations are made by the health structures that treat them or by general practitioners. For them, too, the vaccines administered are Pfizer or Moderna. The INPS list as a whole refers to 283,000 disabled people. From 9 April, this category of citizens will also be able to use the Post Office portal and the other booking channels indicated.

CAREGIVER

It will also be possible for the caregivers of extremely vulnerable and disabled people to be vaccinated. In the case of vaccination of a disabled minor, the inoculation will be extended to the entire family unit and to all assistants who take care of these people.

“We assure all these people of our utmost attention – explain the vice president and councilor for Welfare, Letizia Moratti, and the councilor for Family, Social Solidarity, Disability and Equal Opportunities, Alessandra Locatelli – both to protect their frailties and to family members and assistants, who take care of them every day with commendable commitment and sacrifice. Lombardy Region undertakes not to leave anyone behind and in this delicate phase of the fight against the pandemic we wanted to start the vaccination campaign dedicated to them with care and speed ».
