The three variants of SARS-CoV-2 most widespread in Europe – English (B.1.1.7), South African (B.1351) and Brazilian (P.1) – increase the risk of hospitalization and intensive care both in general that in the younger groups: in particular those between 20 and 39 years and between 40 and 59 years. But they don’t increase the risk of death.
