The tests of 118 passengers (out of 130) of the Rome-Alghero flight landed Sunday night at the Catalan airport on board of which there was a man, positive for Covid-19, who was returning from South Africa and who is suspected to have contracted the Omicron variant. Today we will know the results of the last swabs performed while we will have to wait until next week to have the outcome of the sequencing of the virus for the identification of the variant, in progress in the Aou Microbiology Laboratory in Sassari. All travelers will repeat the molecular swab again on 7 December as required by the protocol, remaining in quarantine until the outcome of the measurement. In the meantime, the people involved will have to remain in quarantine regardless of the outcome of the analyzes.
