Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 453,630 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 1,344 more than yesterday, out of a total of 28,277 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 4.7%.

Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues, extended to all citizens over 12 years of age. At 1 pm, a total of 7,369,396 doses were administered; out of the total, 3,553,209 people have completed the vaccination cycle. The third doses are 492,819.

The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 591 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and screening activities. Overall, among the new 420 positives were already in isolation at the time of swab execution, 443 were identified within already known foci.

The median age of new positives today is 41.1 years.

Of the 591 asymptomatic, 258 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 28 with serological screening, 39 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 3 through pre-hospitalization tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 263 cases.

The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 305 new cases, followed by Modena (205) Rimini (185) and by Ferrara and Ravenna (both 132); then, Forlì (84 cases), Parma (74), Cesena (69), Reggio Emilia (58); then the Imolese district (57) and finally Piacenza (43 cases).

These are the data – ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region.

In the last 24 hours, 16,857 molecular swabs were carried out, for a total of 6,579,170. In addition, there are also 11,370 rapid buffers.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 357 more than yesterday and reach 420,386. The active cases, that is the actual patients, today are 19,470 (+980). Of these, people in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are a total of 18,776 (+937), 95.6% of the total number of active cases.

Unfortunately, there are seven deaths: two in the province of Bologna (two men aged 76 and 78 respectively), two in the province of Reggio Emilia (two men aged 55 and 60), one in the province of Piacenza (a 93-year-old woman ), one death in the province of Parma (an 85-year-old man), one in the province of Rimini (an 89-year-old man).

In total, there have been 13,774 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.

There are 62 patients admitted to intensive care (+4 compared to yesterday), 632 those in the other Covid departments (+39).

On the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 4 in Piacenza (number unchanged compared to yesterday); 4 in Parma (unchanged); 5 in Reggio Emilia (+1 compared to yesterday); 5 in Modena (unchanged); 20 in Bologna (+2); 3 in Imola (unchanged); 8 in Ferrara (unchanged); 8 in Ravenna (unchanged); 1 in Forlì (unchanged); 2 in Rimini (unchanged), two hospitalizations in Cesena (+1).

These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 27,480 in Piacenza (+43 compared to yesterday, of which 17 symptomatic), 34,031 in Parma (+74, of which 31 symptomatic), 53,077 in Reggio Emilia (+58, of which 48 symptomatic), 75,339 in Modena (+205, of which 83 symptomatic), 94,792 in Bologna (+305, of 178 of which symptomatic), 14,907 cases in Imola (+57, of which 35 symptomatic), 27,467 in Ferrara (+132, of which 39 symptomatic), 37,374 in Ravenna (+132, of which 84 symptomatic), 21,045 in Forlì (+ 84, of which 68 symptomatic), 23,679 in Cesena (+69, of which 41 symptomatic) and 44,439 in Rimini (+185, of which 129 symptomatic).
