Reservations for the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine also open for people who are over 40 years old. It starts from November 17, as announced by the regional councilor for health Alessio D’Amato with today’s bulletin.
Reservations for the booster dose for over 40s (born in 1981 and in previous years) can be made on the website https://prenotavaccino-covid.regione.lazio.it/main/home; here you can stop the useful date for the recall which will be scheduled after at least 180 days from the second administration (or single administration in the case of the single-dose Janssen vaccine) received by 31 July 2021. “The system will place the user on the first useful date” explains Alessio D’Amato. “At least 180 days must have elapsed between the day chosen for the appointment and the day the last dose of the vaccine was received. Otherwise, the online platform will not allow you to book the appointment ”, reads the Salute Lazio website where the procedures for booking are illustrated.
The administration of the booster, in the age group 40-59 years, will start on December 1st. Regardless of the vaccine used for the primary cycle, for now it will be possible to use as a “booster” dose an mRna vaccine authorized in Italy, Comirnaty (Pfizer / BioNTech) or Spikevax (Moderna) as per circular 0049399 of 29/10/2021.
To book, we remind you, you need a valid health card to communicate the tax code and the last 13 digits of the numerical code (EHIC) on the back of the card. Finally, we still remember that it is possible to get vaccinated at family doctors (who can also administer the flu vaccine at the same time), pharmacies or vaccination hubs.
