No, there are no two outbreaks of SARS-CoV-2 between vaccinated and unvaccinated: in the latest weekly report just published by the ISS (Istituto Superiore di Sanità), the official organ of the Ministry of Health, it emerges as in the last month 55% of infections, 45% of hospitalizations and 52% of deaths in Italy occurred among vaccinated people, who then become infected, get sick and die as much as the unvaccinated. The report shows how the average age of deaths continues to rise (beyond 82 years old) e hospitalizations (beyond 70 years old), while the average age of infections remains stable compared to the previous week (42 years old), denying all the hoaxes and fake news circulated this week on the increase in cases among children, which in reality it does not exist. Furthermore there are no children hospitalized for Covid in Italian hospitals.
The Istituto Superiore di Sanità also reiterates this week that “in the under 40s it is not possible to estimate the effectiveness of the vaccine due to the very rare frequency of deaths“. In fact, young people do not die of Covid: out of a total of 131,560 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, only 408 were under the age of 40 and in all 408 cases it was young people already seriously ill with very serious chronic and disabling diseases. They did not die, therefore, for Covid but with Covid. The lethality rate of this virus in the under 40s (i.e. the number of deaths in relation to the infected) is less than 0.02%, even lower than that of influenza. The risk of dying in a car accident is much higher for young people under 40.
Below are the complete data provided by the National Institute of Health for vaccination status:
Total population over 12 years old: 54.009.939
- Not vaccinated: 8.683.749 (17,1%)
- Vaccinated with an incomplete cycle: 2.653.423 (5,3%)
- Full cycle vaccinated: 42.672.767 (77,6%)
Total new positive cases in the last 30 days: 79.596
- Not vaccinated: 35.398 (44,5%)
- Vaccinated with an incomplete cycle: 3.207 (4,0%)
- Full cycle vaccinated: 40.991 (51,5%)
Total hospitalizations: 4.878
- Not vaccinated: 2.696 (55,3%)
- Vaccinated with an incomplete cycle: 145 (2,3%)
- Full cycle vaccinated: 2.037 (41,7%)
Total deaths: 866
- Not vaccinated: 416 (48,0%)
- Vaccinated with an incomplete cycle: 27 (3,1%)
- Full cycle vaccinated: 423 (48,9%)
For the correct understanding of the data it is necessary to underline that the Istituto Superiore di Sanità considers “fully vaccinated“Only people who have received the second 15-day dose, and”vaccinated with an incomplete course”Also all people who have taken the second dose for less than 15 days. Instead, they are “not vaccinated”All those who have already taken the first dose for less than fifteen days. This is why the data is misaligned with respect to the daily updated by the government according to which today we have the86,5% of Italians who have received at least one dose and the83,4% who has completed the entire vaccination course. This also means that already today the number of vaccinated among the infected, hospitalized and dead is even higher than that reported in the bulletin, and that we will see the percentage of vaccinated infected, hospitalized and dead increase further in the reports of the coming weeks.
It should also be noted that among the unvaccinated many asymptomatic cases emerge thanks to tampons that non-vaccinated people must carry out daily to obtain the Green Pass to go to work, on transport, to the gym, to the restaurant, to the stadium or to museums. The vaccinated, on the other hand, do not have to swab and the data of infections so high among the vaccinated is even more relevant because it means that they swab for the development of some symptoms (the only reason why a vaccinated should undergo a swab). Among the vaccinated, it is therefore likely that submerged positives and asymptomatic or paucisymptomatic positives are many but many more, and that they are i main vectors of the virus a causa del Green Pass which allows him to attend every activity without controls and without the need to swab, that is, to use the safest tool for tracing the virus.
