Covid in Sardinia: cases on the rise and 11 patients in intensive care. But there are no new victims

The infections of Covid-19 in Sardinia are increasing, but – looking at hospitals – the number of patients hospitalized in the island’s ordinary wards continues to drop. In the update released on Friday 1 October 2021, there are no new victims. However, the number of patients currently hospitalized in intensive care has risen to 11. The positivity rate, on the other hand, is close to 1%.

Here is the full bulletin released by the regional authorities: “In Sardinia today there are 77 further confirmed cases of Covid positivity (yesterday 52 were registered), based on 2245 people tested. A total of 7764 tests were processed, between molecular and antigenic.

There are 11 patients admitted to intensive care units (one more than yesterday).

121 patients are hospitalized in the medical area (6 fewer than yesterday).

There are 1944 cases of home isolation (72 fewer than yesterday).

There are no deaths ”.
